Sad to read about Evan's father. The long term prognosis for brain cancer does not appear to be good.

I saw Evan skate a few weeks ago in Jacksonville at the Disson show. He mentioned that, since moving to NYC, he had been doing very little skating. Despite not skating much recently, Evan skated two great performances. Wishing him all the best.

I thought this quote was intriguing, the first quote of the article.

“It’s the only time I have space from other people in the city,” he said of being on the ice.

Evan is not a gregarious sort and very likely feels uncomfortable in social situations. On the ice, he can get away from all that. I empathize. :yes:
