Favorite programme of the season

Alysa Liu FS - A nice way to get the whole arena roaring.
Ilia Malinin FS - really on top of the world
Lena Kostyleva SP - especially in the "Ups, I messed up the combo, so what!"-edition.
Dasha Sadkova FS - I always adored her, but this time she really catched me.
Captain Victoria Strelzova FS - I have a weak spot for pirates. And I'm not sure if there was ever a program containg a 1Lz beyond the 90 TES.
Lisa Andreeva FS - I've never seen such development of a programme within the season. Every time she skated it she pulled something new out of her pocket.
Sofia Muraviova EX - After her (interesting!!!) Tshaikovski overload she let out some other aspects of her personality

and of course the inevitable

Sasha & Makar EX - I know I'm an old romantic. And could we please get the "Throw Jump Ignatova Edition" as standard pair skate element. Where the girl just wiggles her finger and the boy has to jump himself.

Deniss V. "La Bayadere!"
Isabeau's "Moon River" short program
Mazarekova/Mazarek's Beatles" medley rhythm dance
Piper & Paul's Beach Boys rhythm dance
Jason Brown's Spiegel im Spiegel, doing "Reel Around the Sun (from "Riverdance") during the gala!
Smart & Dieck "Dune"
Efimova & Mitrafanov - both programs!
Andrew Torgashev's "L'Enfer" short program
Chock & Bates' rhythm dance & free dance
Madelaine Schizas' 'Lion King" program & her "Butterfly Lovers" free skate (wish she had skated her free skate as strongly as she skated her short program)
Katia Kurasova's free skate - (not crazy about "Cats," but she just lights up the ice for me)

So many wonderful moments & great programs. Not enough room on the podiums for all of the great performances!

I am shocked no one picked Adam (Siao Him Fa) SP - SOS d'un terrien en détresse - it is a masterpiece, the slide alone is a masterpiece! I know I will be re-watching it forever...
Other favourites:
Alisa/Misha LP
Yuma LP
Minerva/Nikita LP
Alyssa SP

It's difficult to decide whether to do this based on good choreo or good performance or combination of the two, but surprisingly many programs have made me sit up and really pay attention this season:

Women
Anastasia Brandenburg Après Moi FS
Anna Frolova T'es où SP (she takes the senior women Cats program prize over Kurakova, but I do think that "cute" kittens perhaps belong to junior ranks)
Lara Naki Gutmann Squid Game SP
Wakaba Higuchi Dune SP (also the FS to a certain extent)
Niina Petrokina Warrior SP & Dune FS (yeah, she could skate the phone book and I would love it)
Mao Shimada SP or FS (can't decide which, but both were excellent vehicles for her)

Men
Kevin Aymoz both SPs and FS (loved the club mode SP, but the lyrical SP was so to the point that it gets a mention although it is from last season)
Mark Kondratiuk Skrillex SP (fits his unfinished, choppy movement perfectly)
Ilia Malinin Running SP (people often say that programs develop over the season and IMO that rarely happens, but this one sure did develop)
Rio Nakata Taalbi Bros SP (the first somewhat credible flamenco program since Javier Fernandez's Malaguena)
Aleksander Selevko Blues SP and Tango FS (pity he decided to return to the old FS)
Adam Siao Him Fa SOS SP & Dune FS (he could skate the phone book and I would love it, the slide in the SP steps was amazing, the poison sequence in the FS just a genius move from Benoit)

I also loved a number of step sequences this year and almost all the programs mentioned above contain good ones, but here a couple of extras:
Lukas Britschgi's SP to Iron Sky (the use of sign language was a cool added bonus)
Yuma Kagiyama's FS to Taalbi Bros/Romanza (the change of pace gave me goosebumbs)
Andrew Torgashev's SP to L'Enfer (though from last season, but still a gold nugget)

And Olivia Smart/Tim Dieck Dune FS.

Yuma's all programs, especially his exhibition program! He filled this fairly boring music with so much movement and action, it goes straight to my personal hall of fame of programs I keep coming back to.
Adam Siao Him Fa - also all three, the boy can handle some very... unusual (borderline tacky) choreo and make it his ow n.
Junhwan Cha LP - I think he might be one of the most musical skaters in the business
Daiwei Dai - he is so fluid with his movements, I can't wait to see how he'll develop
Alysa Liu SP - it's very cute, lova at first sight from me
Rino Matsuike LP - quality speaks for itself
Nina Pinzarrone EX - yo, the creativity! Although I wonder if watching it live is somewhat underwhelming - lots of moves that look great on the screen, but at the same time live audience (especially the part sitting far away) see a small static figure doing something with hands. But I don't have to worry about it and on the screen I love it.

Hmmm lets see....I didn't watch all disciplines with equal intensity (very little pairs so can't form an opinion there) but in each category...

Women's SP: Alysa Liu. So smooth and fluid, very lovely.
Women's FS: Kaori Sakamoto. What's with Japanese ladies and Chicago? Fun and sassy. Also, Petrõkina's Dune.

Men's SP: Hmmm...lets say Mihail Selevko's Nightmares program. I like hypnotic dark music, and skaters who can deliver to that. Ilia's and Kagiyama's SPs were ace material too, obviously.
Men's FS: Kevin Aymoz' van Gogh. Great artist portraying a great artist, oh yeah. ASHF's Dune program very close second. Yeah, I like my Dunes.

Rhythm Dance: can't really choose specific one. There were many quite good ones, but nothing which gave me "Oh I have to rewatch this 100 times" reaction. And many teams using same songs somewhat lessened the impact. But programs I liked in no particular order: Reitan/Majorov, PiriHara, Turkkila/Versluis, Fear/Gibson, Smart/Dieck...

Free Dance: Bet you think I'm bored of the Dunes? Nope  Smart/Dieck Dune FD was highlight for me, followed closely by Turkkila/Versluis fateful tango and PiriHara's Chorus Line. Loadsa very good free dances this year.

Synchro SP: Team Ice on Fire's (ITA) "Winter". This was like S/D Dune, somewhat lower ranked team delivering something so well choreographed and mesmerizing that it almost overshadowed the top teams.

Synchro LP: Rockettes (FIN) "Smooth Criminal". Energetic without being overwrought, I especially liked the 'quick' ending which leaves the viewer want for more. Team Unique's (FIN) killer tango was almost as good.

My favorites have been mentioned but 2 dance programs stand out for me

Holly & Jason of Australia Clair d Lune

Piper & Paul EX Autumn Leaves (her dress is stunning!)
😍
