Surprising, but then again, not at all. their showings this year were on the verge of awful and I saw nothing that showed they were anywhere near the top teams in the US (even with our rather low standards).

Well, seeing as how it says they are BOTH looking for new partners, it was only their first year as seniors, and their sizes have stayed the same I'd say there's a good chance something went sour. My guess is the usual, girl-tries-to-juggle-singles-and-pairs-guy-feels-it-is-to-the-detriment-of-their-pairs-career.
