I definitely heard “Uncle Dickie’s” voice in my head just recently, while watching Karen Chen do that lovely layback spin near the end of her Worlds LP

it was a simpler time, when Dick Button was more or less the only commentary game around, at least in the US.'Uncle Dickie' sounds sickeningly wrong...
Always so natty in his mustard-colored jacket—sometimes he even wore a tuxedo! And he was often nasty, as well as outrageously biased in favor of the home team. But he knew his stuff, and when he saw something he liked— someone who had that special something—he would let his feelings show, in a way that was quite endearing.

the triple jump - I think Dick Button did the first one in competition, didn't he? not sure which one.
