Haven't seen the movie, but I the music. Quite a number of other skaters have used it for their programs. Can you name any of them offhand?

Evgenia Medvedeva—she skated to it in her first World Championship year. She may not have been the first, but she is the first I remember, and actually, I always associate this music with her

Mine too. I re-watch M/D's Rach nearly as often as I think of it, thanks for the link.

Scott Hamilton characterized the contrast as between passion - M/D - and perfection - G/G. A matter of taste. The audience reacted more wildly to M/D's - which was appropriate, because their skate had a great, wild, uncertain quality in that program.
