After looking at results I believe Ashley is better than Craine and this has been the game plan all along after the last US nationals. Makes perfect sense - Craine has not done as well as expected and Women's skating is the worst it's been in years with men getting more JGPs.
What an ignorant and idiotic statement. Craine scored the highest Australian ladies score ever at 4cc this season. You can't base how well Australian ladies skating is just based on jgp spots. In the recent years there is no way that Ashley would beat Kailani. Kailani is way more consistent than Ashley and scoring much higher technically. i can't imagine Ashley booting Kailani for a chance at an olympics spot. Best thing to do is definitely send kailani to Nebelhorn in 2017 to try and get Australia the spot as she is the most consistent and has most potential to score big.
I would be shocked if Ashley's intentions were to skate pairs. I think she put Pair Skating behind her along time ago, and there still wouldnt be a suitable partner for her. In reply to Karne, Jordan Dodds split with Eliza because of differences in goals and training efforts.
