McCurdy & Coreno:
They remind me of Rahkamo & Kokko for some reason. I think they have a quirky vibe to them. She especially looks quite exuberant on the ice.

Weaver & Poje:
Just like Coreno, Poje bobbled on a twizzle. Their FD looks so incredibly exhausting - it looks so chock-full of stuff. Reminded me of some of Bourne & Kraatz's super-aerobics-type programs where you wonder where the resting points are. Good job, though.:agree:

Weaver & Poje and McCurdy & Coreno currently in 2nd & 4th overall, with the Reeds leading.

The Russians - Bobrova, Soloviev

replacement of Dom/Sham, the young pair who competed in Skate Canada

modern arrangement of Bach's music
combo spin, good flexibility, variations of positions
currently sitting 13th place.
straight line lift, nice
twizzle, good unison, soft and deep edges and knees
curve, rotational lift
twizzle, synchronized, well timed
change of pace, hope they show more flair
diagonal step sequence
Serpentine lift, nice, dramatic positions
Rotational lift

good job! Russians should be proud of their dancing teams. This team will be a contender someday, but not now.

I'm not too keen on the girl's costume.

Total - 82.72
Rank - 1, They take over the lead

They were the gold medalist at last year's Junior World Championships. Will they be the 2014 Olympic Gold Medalist??? Experts... how's their skating?

I'm not an expert but I don't see much with them...but then again, a few years back people didn't see much of China's pair teams....

Navarro, Bommetre of US

Blues dance, their first trip to Worlds

fast rotational lift, effortless
sbs twizzle, change of edges into 2nd twizzle, good use of music
serpentine step, difficult entry
dance spin, good centring, change of directions
serpentine lift, great angle
twizzle, technically superb
great sultry feel to this program, well constructed.
rotational lift. leg extensions would have been nice.

I enjoyed it. The competition is only getting better. Very seasoned program.

Oh Probably. I think they will contend for gold in their home country at the 2014 Olympics in Sochi, Russia but I am really hoping that Samuelson and Bates (USA) will contend as well

Loved Navarro and Bommentre's program. Every move fit with the song and program. I love how the pick different music than everyone else for all their programs.

The lituania, Copely - Stagniunas

Moonlight sonata, oh not again!

They are both Americans!

Rotational lift
serpentine lift,
circular foot step sequence
twizzle, very close to each other
circular, curve lift, change of level from straight line to curve lift
Twizzle, romantic feel about their skating, nicely timed
straight line lift, david does in one foot, increasing the difficulty.
rotational lift,
dance spin
not a lot of speed in straight line step sequence

Good, but mixing too much music, change of tunes too frequently can cut off the flow of the dance.

Yeah, I like them. I never paid much attention to them but liked them at nationals this year. striking couple..

I have the live audio from Eurosport (link already posted). At the same time I have CCTV5 here: http://freetube.110mb.com/#plays Make sure you download WMP Quicktime flash if you don't have it already. There's a quick diagnostic to see if you have all they require.

The audio feed is slightly ahead of CCTV but I like listening to the English commentary.

the eurosport audio is almost right on the money with trt3. It's just putting up with the feed stops...

Awwww music used by Gwendal and Marina back to back. How I miss them... nobody will ever replace them.

Kristen Fraser and Igor guy from Aze

The sight of Speedy !!!

Time to say Good bye

open with nice dance spin, beautiful lady
twizzle, first part needs some enhancement
effortless, soft quality in their skating
10th at Europeans
twizzles
well connected dance steps, a lot of them, feels more like a dance, than ice dancing
the tempo is a little bit ponderous,
dramatic straight line lift
rotational lift, curve one, nice
combinational curve rotational lift. They need some musical high notes.
reverse rotational lift.

Nicely done. Kudos to all creative endeavours in lift.

Another Morozov's pupils. We might as well have Morozov's vs. Morozov's in dance competitions
