The extremly long and wet winter - by our standards, anyway - in the Southwest promises a doozy of an allergy season, mine started today.
Between violent sneezing fits (indoors as well as out), I looked through the old herbal medicine book, and one of the things they recommend is horseradish, famous clearer-outer of sinuses.
Luckily, I like the stuff and had some on hand, so I took a little, packed some more in a ziploc baggie for the way to the rink, and whaddaya know, no more sneezing so far today, tearing of eyes also kept to a minimum.
Burns a little as it travels up and down the passages, but does not turn you into a zombie like most of the over the counter chemical drugs.
Definitely worth a shot.
