Halloween Fun (Pictures)

Because I was really proud of how my halloween theme turned out, I want to share with all of you (don't you feel lucky?)

If you don't know - we went Pirate this Halloween (huge Pirates of the Caribbean fan, even before the movies I loved the ride - and hi! the movies rock!)

anyway what really started it was my trip to Disney World this summer, we found my neice a pirate costume that I just had to get her, and it snowballed into a family affair pretty much. I dressed up as well as my dog in pirate garb too... and then the front of the house turned into a pirate ship of sorts...

here's what it looked like during the day

Yeah, we were the only ones in our neighborhood that even attempted to decorate this year. A lot of parents had their kids pose in and among the decorations for pictures.

I meant to also say that I had a boombox playing a mix of Pirates Soundtrack music, the Pirates of the Caribbean ride theme song (Yo, Ho! Yo, Ho! A Pirates Life for Me.), and audio from the Pirates movies... oh and classic halloween songs too (Thriller!!!! ) We had a group of tweeners do the monster mash on the porch... it was hilarious!

Next year we're going to tribute Disney's Haunted Mansion (mainly the ride as the movie sucked! )

Your niece is really adorable too.

I adore that little girl hee hee... she's not yet 2 (will be in Feb! ack!) and she has such a little personality. She calls me "Nani" and Yuka comes out "Gugka" (goog-ka) and she's always asking where Yuka is if I'm not around.

She's not really my neice, she's my stepcousin's daughter... but I'm supposed to be 'aunt Toni' lol my aunt is her gramma


This is the first time that I really helped with the planning and decorating of the house, and the first time my aunt went all out like she did with teh decorations (she'd never done 'scary' before) so I think for first timers we did pretty well!
