Re: How did you come by your user name?

When I first started posting at the old About.com site, I was using my son's account. His password name was Showstopper. When I opened my own account, I took the word Show and added 42 to it. This is what his high school football coach used to shout at him....."Show me what you can do, 42" (his jersey number)........hence, Show42........

usernames

Great thread!!

My username is one I use on various boards, including several dog-related ones; I chose it because of my love for the Golden Retriever breed, plus I have two Goldens of my own. :)

Re: usernames

Easy to answer - the JO are the first two letters of my first name and the OHIO is where I'm from. The 2 got tacked on 'cuz I screwed up creating my user name and had to add a 2.

Jocleveland doesn't look nearly as cool!

Re: How did you come by your user name?

Thank you everyone for responding! I have learned more about my fellow posters. I think that it is all very interesting, and love find out things about fellow skate fans.

JOHN KING (jingle heimer schmidt)...you made me laugh out loud!

ALOFT: I live the name. Very interesting that you fly!

2LOOP2002: Excellent job on the double loop! I am still learning the single and it is throwing me for a loop...no pun intended. I am sorry to hear that you are not skating any longer. Do you miss it terribly? I can't live without it.

BLUE BEAD: You are speaking my language! I make jewelry also, and so does my best friend. She actually learned to make the glass beads. I just pay outrageous prices for them because I have have learned how. Someday...when skating is done. Can you learn to do that at 90? I love making jewelry. I have been trying to get ideas together for skating jewelry. Need to find high quality skate motif things.

MATHMAN: If you do not think that you are interesting, I don't know what is...your name alone had my curiosity piqued. I cannot even pronounce half of what you wrote. Math was never my forte...I really have to work at it.

CINDERELLA: I love the name, and the saying under your name. It is great! Coming back after 30 years...that is so awesome. I am emailing you to talk about the other forum for competitive adult skaters.

Thanks everyone for sharing.

Re: How did you come by your user name?

Mine is fairly obvious as well. BronzeisGolden02. After the SLC Olympics I was so proud of Michelle for yet again handling her defeat with such humble dignity. So, even if it wasn't a wonderful performance it was a golden moment for her. Personally, I believe I would have been devestated and extremely angry with myself...but she showed incredible strength of character and allowed herself to rise above the disappointment and once again begin the process of rededication. LOL...GUSH GUSH...CHEESE CHEESE...I'm just a sucker for drama!
