International Counter Match Figure Skating Competition USA vs JPN

Evan Lysacek has an injury? How serious? What kind? What else (if any) is affected on his schedule?

Jeremy has a nice program (see The Edge topic on videos) but imo, he is not up to the top NINE (Joubert, Daisuke, Lambiel, Buttle, Oda, Weir, Lysacek, Verner, and Carriere not to mention Mabee, Preaubert.) We'll see.

Joe

Abbott did place ahead of Carriere at 2007 U.S. Nationals (4th to 9th) and the two of them were very close in the Sr. SP at Liberty in July (Carriere scored 63.04 and Abbott 62.98, landing his first 4T-3T combo in comp.). I'm happy Abbott is getting this opportunity in Japan! :)

The tickets were put on sale, mainly online, about 16 hours ago and were sold out in few minutes.
I tried my best but couldn't get any; got only a subscription spot in a long queue waiting for canselled seats.

In forums and blogs here in Japan, you can see the fans excited about this event, taking it as the first and a very rare chance to see Zhang, Flatt, Nagasu and Liang, ALL AT ONCE and LIVE! (It will be our first chance to witness Zhang's "pearl" spin!)....And Lysacek, Bradley, Weir, Carriere, which are the very top US men ALSO at once!!

TBS changed the plan and will televise both the saturday comp and the sunday gala, each on the same day but a little afterwards.

I am sorry you couldn't get ticket. Did you try auction? Cause I got world's ticket last March by auction (around 10 times more expensive than the real price, though).
Can you tell me which channel and when will it boradcast?

So, finally did you get the ticket?
I will do nothing but sitting in front of television on Saturday and Sunday night^^

None of the cancelled tickets were left for me, so I'll probably do the same as you. :)
(There will be 150 tickets sold on site for standing spectation, the ticket queue will start very early in the morning outside the arena, sales itself starting at 1pm, and you'll be standing all way to 7pm till the ladies will have finished. I don't have enough confidence that I can endure all that.)
