It seems like a lot of top US skaters don't care about 4ccs, Nathan went once and won and then never went back and he wasn't the only 1 that did similar.

4ccs from the US perspective is basically a consolation prize for not being on the Worlds or Olympic (if applicable) team
It certainly is in Olympic years, but generally the pairs, and ice dancers go, but the singles skaters are a little less reliable. Rafael Arutyunyan coached skaters don't tend to go very often.

Did they really nominate G/F's horrible RD costumes for best costume? Are they blind?

They do stand out...
I think overall the costume nominations are better than the other ones. There are some I don't understand, others I'm missing, but at least it's not a complete miss like the "most entertaining program" category in which many of the most interesting and best programs this season are missing.
Best choreographer is also a riddle to me. They should at least have taken in Kaitlyn Weaver, who, apart from Richaud, worked on some of the most interesting programs this season. I hope this is only due to the fact that she's new and some of her programs are cooperations and that she will soon be a name to be thought of, because I find her work enriching.

why are we doing this now? they should do this in the spring/summer, after the season ends.

and i'm sorry but that "most entertaining program" category is BLEAK.

They've been held, and here's the list of the winners:

Best newcomer: Hana Yoshida (shooting star)
Most valuable skater: Ilia Malinin (for presence on social media mostly)
Best Costume: Loena Hendrickx (for the SP)
Best coach: Mie Hamada
Most entertaining programme: Adam Siao Him Fa (FS)
Best choreographer: Benoit Richaud
Lifetime Achivement Award: Brian Orser
Special achievement award: Deanna Stellato-Dudek (inspiration by way of her age)

As usual tending towards single skaters (no ID couple winning anything and only one pair skater), at least a bit more of a Japanese presence this time though I find it odd that Shoma who has also made the sport popular (also with a big Social media presence) didn't win anything.

I wish it had been Kevin, but okay. Adam's is not as good in my opinion, but still a very good program.

But. Mie Hamada? Really? After neither Eteri nor Alina Gorbacheva's coach was available they just had to award the next coach with the worst reputation in terms of treatment of their students in line? I'm sure there are others who are just as abusive, but with the reputation that Hamada has the signal that is sent is again absolutely horrible. And what are these awards for if not to send signals?

At least Richaud got his award, too, and I'm happy Orser got his one, although I wish he had gotten the coaching award instead.

I found this program on YouTube and found it kind of cheesy, actually. There were so many skaters and so many programs, etc, that seemed to be left out of the voting. I was even surprised to see the likes of Surya Bonaly and Miki Ando supposedly on the judges board. Whaaaat? Kurt, as always, was charming and I especially appreciated his praise for Jason Brown.
