My IN feed was down so I just tuned in. Looks like Alexander Johnson fell on a 3F.

Danny O'Shea (Carmina Burana)

2A very easy
3T+3T second one looked slightly UR
3Lz fall (possible UR -- definitely UR on replay)

CiSt a little slow
FCSp1
SlSt much better than
CCoSp2

Johnson 51.68
Aiken 51.16
O'Shea 50.57
Wang 41.16

IN reporting that Dornbush has withdrawn, but didn't give a reason.

Peter Max Dion (Tango des los Escalados)

3F+3T (maybe slight UR or 2 foot on second jump -- too close to the boards to see)
3Lz 2 foot, hand down
CiSt OK
FCSp3
2A grazed free foot on landing
CCoSp4 very nice back pancake
SlSt could use the music more
SSp4 very nice
A calm, even skate if not particularly fast

Dion 52.58
Johnson 51.68
Aiken 51.16
O'Shea 50.57
Wang 41.16

Keegan Messing (Fundamentum)

3A better than most of the senior mens', very fast rotations
3F landed low, bad 2-foot + 2T
CCoSp4 some very cool positions
SlSt very nice, but not a lot of edgework
3Lz nice
FCSp3
CiSt
CSSp4 very low in COE
Very nice performance. Not terribly expressive, but great ice coverage, at least from what you can tell from video.

Johnson 51.68
Aiken 51.16
O'Shea 50.57
Wang 41.16

3F+3T nice
1Lz (intended triple)
spread eagle to 2A
nice footwork, but his edges are a little short
CSSp3
FCSp3 nice donut
SlSt nice upper body movement
stars to CCoSp4 including camel-jump-sit
He's a beautiful skater. Shame about the Lz.

nice footwork to 3Lz, forward on landing
2A nice
CiSt, nice hitch kick
Failed attempt at butterfly, then FCSp2
SSp2
2 hands down on SlSt
Almost fell on on CCoSp2
Lots of little mistakes and will lose a lot of points on the spins

Dion 52.58
Johnson 51.68
Kanallakan 51.38
Aiken 51.16

3Lz skid-out and fall
FCSp3, beautiful catchfoot (better than most ladies)
CiSt nice and edgy
CSSp3
1A (major waxel)
SlSt lots of flow
Beautiful butterfly (with speed!)
CCoSp4, very low sit spin and nice Y position
He is such a smooth, graceful skater -- you can definitely tell he has taken years of ballet.

Mahbanoozadeh 59.29
Dion 52.58
Johnson 51.68
Kanallakan 51.38
Aiken 51.16

I was disappointed that Alexander Johnson had a tough SP because I really like his skating.

Pine Kopka-Ross, was an alternate to Nationals until Roger Corvasce withdrew this week

2A ok
1Lz not enough speed into it (planned triple)
CCoSp2, might have put his foot down on the COE (definitely didn't hold it long enough)
CiSt very simple, but fit the music nicely
Nice ina bauer
3S hand-down + 2T
SSp2
SlSt also simple
FCSp1 didn't look like he got the required 8 revolutions
Not bad considering he only found at he was coming to nationals a few days ago. He looks excited just to be there.

3Lz nice
CiSt very nice, good twizzles and arms, on the end of the rink rather than the middle
2A very easy
FCSp falls out on catch-foot (did not look like he got the required 8 revolutions before the fall out)

2A he really sells his jumps well
FCSp2

Poor Johnson - just a bad hair day.

Keegan looking good.

Much pro and con on the Cowboy from Boston: Ross Miner. I thought he was good but others said no no.

I really liked him. (Although he's probably a very distant relative, so I shouldn't comment  ) But skating fandom is rather snooty about either country or western themed programs, so I'm not surprised you heard some negatives. Heck Ryan Bradley had his arm twisted to not do a Western movie themed LP on the GP and to go back to last year's Tango program.

Which goes to show you.

I'm only going to be able to PBP for the last group but am catching Alexander Johnson

3F hand down, turn-out on 2-feet that may count at 1T
3Lz nice
travelling 3s to 3Lo nice
CCoSp4
CiSt ok, lots of twizzles and loops, not a lot else
3Lz 2-foot +2T+2Lo no speed, but clean
2A, he scrapes his free foot on all his landings
Nice spiral into 3F+2T
3S hop 2A 2-foot, big scratch
2A nice
FCoSp4
slow stars to FSSp4, very slow
No energy at the end
Good preformance, but his score is really going to depend on how the judges grade the slightly messy landings

Johnson (119.40) 171.08

Armin Mahbanoozadeh (Dark Forest)

3F+3T nice
1Lz (intended triple)
spread eagle to 2A
nice footwork, but his edges are a little short
CSSp3
FCSp3 nice donut
SlSt nice upper body movement
stars to CCoSp4 including camel-jump-sit
He's a beautiful skater. Shame about the Lz.

Messing 59.80
Mahbanoozadeh 59.29 -- his TES was only a point lower than Messing's...
Dion 52.58
Johnson 51.68
Aiken 51.16
O'Shea 50.57
Wang 41.16

Imagine if he had at least doubled the lutz - much less tripled it.

Final group!

Andrew Gonzales

3F no height, 2-foot
travelling 3s to 3Lo, tilted
3Lz long wait on takeoff, but nice landing
SSp2 (maybe I missed a variation, because he can clearly do them -- did them in the FCoSp)
Slow skating
3Lz+2T+2Lo same long wait on Lz takeoff
2S rushed timing on the takeoff
2A+3T both were 2-footed
FCSp4
1A
2T
He's either tired or has completely lost his focus
CCoSp4
Not a great performance

3T of 2A+3T looked UR on replay.

Gonzales (94.43) 153.19 -- into 5th

Armin Mahbanoozadeh (The Mummy)

3A a little wide but hung on, nice and clean
3F turns out, great delayed rotation
3Lz bad two-foot and fall
3Lo beautiful
FSSp4 great height on the death drop
3S+2T nice
FCoSp4 un-exciting
He seems cautious
2A over-rotated but held on
2A OR and stepped-out + 2T
3Lz same exact fall as the first one
SlSt pretty typical
He's losing more and more energy and confidence by the second
Stars to CCoSp4
Definitely not his best. His jump technique seems pretty good, but he fails to check out on time in many of them.
