Michelle's life is just one fantastic dream come true after another. It is amazing how all this has fallen into place for Michelle. One day she is invited to the White House because President Bush needed a successful and lovely Chinese American girl to charm the president of China at a luncheon (Kristi Yamaguchi was invited the week before to impress the Prime Mininster of Japan ).

As fate would have it, she is seated next to the Secretary of State -- who miraculously is a former skater and a big skating fan. And the rest is history. :agree:

does anybody know is she is still attending the University of Denver? How can she take all that time off from class?

Not sure if she's still attending university, but if she is, taking time off is not that big a deal anymore with so many online classes offered these days. I'm sure U of Denver has them too.

That is a great trip for Kwan! By the way, did anyone notice from the Kathleen Bangs article in IFS April issue, that Lysacek got a phone call from Kwan before his freeskate in US Nationals?

"The nine-time U.S. and five-time World champion called not only to wish Lysacek luck on retaining his title, but also offered a few strategic pointers on how to keep focused and get the job done."

I haven't read the article, but in his NBC interview after having won US Nationals Evan referred to having spoken with her before the SP, calling her his ultimate role model. That "title" suits her perfectly.

According to the post by SilverFox above, Michelle is attending classes full time and going on this trip on her spring break.

Doesn't she look great skating in the last 15 seconds of tis video? I liked the part also where she was demonstrating the opening pose. :yes:

it seems like you guys don't like her being a public enovy. You making fun of her. Just like the icenetwork isn't showing any pictures of her doing her clinics down there. don't tell about copyright. they showed kristis dancing pictures which are copyrighted.
i for one am happy about her assignment. she takes it seriously and if you are really fans of hers you would too,otherwise non-fans make fun of it.
