Nakano to end the championships! I had a feeling about that.

I'm also happy Kim will skate before Asada. Mao with a clean free including a triple axel would be intimidating but Yu-Na gets to go first and hopefully lay down the gauntlet.

A good free program from Yu-Na could shake Mao's nerves (06 GPF, 07 Worlds sp, etc)

She's been so consistent this year with it though, so here's to hoping it goes well for her....Go Mao!!

If Yukari was to win...that would make me really happy, about as much as Yu-Na winning

Now that the day is over, and everyone has had time to reflect on today's results, what are Kimmie's, Bebe's, and Ashley's chances tomorrow? Can the three do well enough to give the US three places for next year? I think Kimmie is in good spot to move up, she is not too far behind in points, but Bebe and Ashley are further behind in points, so I wonder if they can move up as well? What are people's thoughts???

I think Ashley could and SHOULD move up IF she performs all the elements in her LP and as well as she did at U.S. Nationals. Third place might be a long stretch but I can see Ashley getting to 4th or 5th. I don't know about Kimmie - I just don't see any excitement in her program or the way she skates. Same goes for Bebe. But Kimmie has a chance to stay in 9th place or even place better which will give the U.S. three slots again.

Although I want US to do well, realistically I really don't think the American ladies will do better than 6th place if that. BUT maybe I'm being too pessimistic so we shall see, but the caliber of the American ladies at Worlds isn't quite up there with the rest. I honestly can't wait until Mirai, Caroline, and Rachel in the senior Worlds next year!
