Uhh, yes she should. Nakano is an excellent skater.
Can anyone post descriptions of Nakano and Kostner's programs? They clearly made a mistake or two.
Yukari: fast, confident skate. Wickedly fast spins, smooth transitions, great! First 3/2 combo with a BIG leg wrap, first triple might be downgraded? 3Lz out of footwork also big leg wrap, but more height/distance, and fully rotated. Good 2A. Great spins to finish off.
Higher PCS but lower TES than Caroline. That's about right. Audience is boo'ing -- but judges don't like leg-wrapping, she gets hit on both jump GOE's and the PCS.
Good skate for her overall. She looks happy.

We will see what happens with Kimmie, Yu-Na and Mao.
Nakano does not have 3+3. Low TES is expected.
Carolina Kostner: another fast, confident skate! What happened to the fall-prone Carolina?? She lands a great 3/3 and a 3Lz out of footwork. But singles a costly axel. Required element, so automatic -GOE. Score just short of 60, audience not happy.
She's lucky she goofed on the axel and not one of the other required jumps, which are worth a lot more!
But a great ladies' competition so far.

People, can we just agree to disagree, and I'm curious; if the leg wrap isn't an error in skating skills, then what is it??:scratch:

It's bad jump technique, which isn't technically "skating"

Blue dress with lots of illusion
Spiral to begin...quite steady but can't help but notice the stiffness in her arms
3F, clean it seems
Tries to be expressive, improvement for sure
3Z-3T, toe-axel as always
Layback, not the best
Combo spin with good positions throughout
2A, clean
Turns into flying sit, nice and low
SLSS is quite nice, she seems to feel it a lot more than she did last year

Great performance so far from every lady!Her triple triple were downgrade? Wow, 4 skaters and Caroline is on the top!

Kimmie Meissner: a decent skate for her. On par with earlier SP's. A little shaky on the landing of the first triple out of footwork. 3Lz/3T all the way at the end of the rink (running out of room), very tight on second triple, should be downgraded. 2A not as high as usual, but clean. Better skate than SA but worse than TEB, IMHO. Hate the arm-flailing during the slss. Ergh! Morosov's doing, right?

Yea it was downgraded, at first when i saw it I thought it was a double, but it was a triple toe axle
