I think Icenetwork was too cheap to send anyone to Bulgaria so they decided to pick up the feed via Ham Radio.

Edit: As soon as ice resurface happened, feed cut out and then came back without the wavy lines. I'm thinking someone swapped a bad cable or something

And wow, there is like -- NO ONE in that arena. That's kind of crazy!

^^ The host this year was supposed to be Ostrava (Czech Republic) but they backed out due to financial problems, that's why it's Sofia again.

But there were alternatives. As soon as there was a rumor that Ostrava might not held it, France submitted an entry.
But I guess that it was more practical to do it at Sofia again.
