Leonova looks like a Grandma who has worked at the Carnival her whole life. Which isn't a bad thing; her personality makes me smile. She deserves to be in 1st with that performance. Got a little overexcited on the footwork, though.
I don't think she's ever been a contender for a medal at Worlds. I'm shocked to see such an opinion.

Well she was in 5th last year, so it's not that foreign of a concept. Yeah, yeah, it was with a weak field, but besides Yuna coming back, the field is similar. in any case 5th is far away now...

She was in 5th last year. She at least has (well, HAD) an outside shot.
but she was great!!! in her own way, but was a great program!so hawt, definitely fan service.

I think people's hopes were buoyed up by Cynthia's very strong finish at least year's Worlds.
Russian guy just said that Alena had a fever yesterday.

I actually like Leonova's hair, at least for this program. Having it off her face makes her face look prettier. But this program and costume... OMG. They really don't trust her with a program with the least bit of classicism or romanticism in it. She's pigeonholed as a character-technical skater.
