Ladies SP

Not too much actually. I think Meissner botching the short would be the biggest surprise here and winding up in what- 4th? in a field she really should be blowing away given her status (maybe with the exception of Rochette).

I think Suguri's placement also constitutes a pretty big surprise.

Surprise though is I didn't expect Hughes to be in 2nd right now. I thought she'd be around 4th or 5th but I think those falls might be overshadowing how steady she is as a competitor.

Hope they all have a great long! Make some competitive excitement!
(well, if Kimmie skates clean, she'll win)

Funny thing is Emily has a great shot at the podium or even winning the entire event if Kimmie and Joannie botch up their freeskates...I mean Em beat a flawed Kimmie even WITH a fall at Nats...

Alyssa is a complete wildcard. Not wishing for her demise (in fact, the opposite), but I don't think it'll be her day Saturday and I expect someone else to win. I mean, if Kimmie can land those jumps in the freeskate she should blow everyone away. Somehow I see Joannie as the likely winner...?

holy, Aki in 3rd! Who is she?

Don't know but just realized the top Six (with Kimmie at the bottom  ) are separated by only four points. That's nothing and that should make the Freeskate exciting and suspenseful even if it turns out to be a complete zamboni-fest.

Suguri in 12TH??? yikes. Usually she gets it together by this time in the season!

I wonder if Suguri will retire after this competition. I wouldn't be surprised.
