Actually his job is to sell the broadcast to the viewers and get more viewers... I've explained this already. BTW I don't like Scott either really. But this was a hilarious joke and I only wish I had thought of it first after seeing the AIG logo on her uniform. I really don't think it meant anything, it was a joke about AIG bonuses and bailouts. I do fault him and the other commentators for not making clear that Alissa was given like 4 free points as a gift, but then it's a US audience. They are being biased and... it doesn't surprise me. Scott is always biased.

Interesting intense expression from her at the end. (and from coach)
I think her flow was very strong and even, better than Miki in this aspect (but not overall).

I'm a bit surprised at her score being as close to Meier's; I'd have her more a clear 2nd

Yes, you've explained it before and I highly disagree. If I wasn't already a fan of figure skating, Scott's commentary wouldn't sell me to the sport; I'd be turning the channel.
