Laurine Lecavelier

Going by some comments on the French Federation's Facebook page, I believe her nickname is Lolo, actually! :)

Fingers crossed her knee is doing better and she has a fabulous event at Grenoble.

Oh, I like that! :)
Hoping for the best for the knee too. A bit worried for her after Austria. I hope she's feeling strong.

Very dissapointing showing from Laurine today. Hopefully she can make a comeback tomorrow and have a redemption skate. She has nothing to loose. When I think back though on the same event from 2016 and her magnificant experince programme to now I was expecting to see Laurine being easily a top 10 contender for worlds, but it just hasnt happened for her..yet! I do beleive the more lyrical musical pieces suit her beautifuly and Im hoping she goes in that direction with future programmes.I suspect she is still recovering from an injury because she didnt seem surprised herself with her result today, but none the less hopefully tomorrow will be more successful for Laurine and she can rise up a few places.fingers crossed😊

Ah, not Laurine's best skate but she stayed on her feet and sold it till the end. Even without strapping it looks like her knee's still an issue, though, she didnt quite have the power she needed going into the lutz and the second toe loop.

At least one level 4 spin, though, which is excellent! Better luck tomorrow, Laurine. :)

Her spins have improved definitely harriet since going to Kori Ade, and she defo sold the programme as best she could. If it can can all come together she would be just dynamite...the jumps were so stiff today..even the double axle which she does always so beautifully was off axis😣 its early in the season though yet..hopefully if she can stay injury free she can win nationals and have a good showing at worlds. Out of all the french ladies she has the most quality..its sad to see her bottom of the pile here but sending positive vibes for laurine tomorrow🙌🏻

Laurine changed boots and blades a few weeks ago and had trouble adjusting, hence the problem with her knee at Innsbruck competition where there was no physiotherapist to help her. She then spent time in Switzerland with Jean-François Ballester, got proper treatment and things got quickly better. But she was very stressed in Grenoble. Things should go back to normal by French Nationals.

Oh, no wonder she was having difficulties - I understand new boots and blades always take some time, at minimum, to adjust to separately, let alone both at the same time! But glad to hear that her knee's okay now. And for all the difficulties and stress she just kept fighting all the way through both programs, which shows an admirably tough mindset.

Fingers crossed she has a stress-free blast at Nationals and gets the results her hard work deserves. :)

Sending Laurine support and love following the death of Jean-Francois Ballester.

Good luck to Laurine at Nationals. Really hoping that everything goes her way for once. She's had a rough year and a half. Love and support!

Happy to see Laurine put out a good solid SP at Nationals today - better a good 3T2T than a wobbly triple-triple. She and Mae are level-pegging it on PSC, too, which is nice. And her Tano lutz was back, and 2A very much on form. That will give her confidence going into the FS tomorrow. :hap10:

Still waiting for Laurine's FS to get posted to YouTube, but going by the protocol it looks like she's overcome her boot/blade/knee worries and is back on the upswing. Great work! And she and Mae will be off to Euros together for sure.

Haven't been able to find her FS anywhere. Hope it will surface sometime! Hoping for a strong second half to the season for my favorite skater. [emoji170]

Just noticed that Laurine has been added to the list for Mentor Torun Cup next week, along with Mae-Berenice! Fingers crossed for a livestream (the official site says there'll be one, at least) and/or someone putting both performances on YouTube!

Ah, that's a shame, but with the time difference I wouldn't have been able to watch them live anyway.

DinkyD posted in the 7k thread not long ago that Laurine is going to train in Europe from now on rather than relocating to Nashville with Kori Ade. It will be good to see at Euros who she's working with following the loss of Jean-Francois Ballester.

Chookas for tonight, Laurine! Bring the house down! :hap10:

ETA: SHE DID IT! Top 6, season's best score, and finally broke 60 in TSS and 30 in PCS! Keep it up Laurine, you're within reach of bronze!

Is she officially in Poitiers now? I was surprised to see Joubert with her in the Kiss & Cry.
