Ok, so she was the last person to coach a US man to Oly gold and repeat world titles. The only other exception was Richard in 96. So, why is it that US men are not lined up outside her door begging her to coach them?

Don Laws? Didn't he coach Scott to 4 world titles and Oly gold, but when Weiss came a knocking he was totally free?

Considering what happened at nationals this year, can anyone explain to me what the US men are possibly thinking?

Linda Leaver does not coach anymore. She had other students early on but then decided to concentrate on Brian, although she also coached Yvonne Gomez (who skated for the US, then Spain as she had dual citizenship and was then able to compete in Calgary). Linda has said that she could not imagine coaching anyone else after having coached Brian.
