Men - Short Program

Lol, I LOVED this performance by Carriere of the USA! The concept & choreography reminded me of Oksana Baiul's, which was choreographed by Sarah Kawahara btw. Except for the fall on the opening 3A, everything else looked fine, 3L/2T & 3R. He really sold it though! :) And he looks exactly like a piano man from the 1920's flapper era. Great job! (:^D

Carriere's score is 59.14.

Shawn's next and I'm freakin' nervous!!!

Saw some news out of US Champs Camp about him being off the ice for a while due to some kind of surgery. He seemed to do a pretty good job for someone that had only had about one month to prepare for competition.

3A fall (underrotated perhaps), 3F+2T, 2Lz. Shawn looked tense out there.

Shawn Sawyer had trouble on his jumps -- fall on UR 3A, small 3F/2T, and doubled 3L -- spins are great though, especially the last upright one where he's in a full split position! (8^O

My Sawyer... a triple axel is hardly ever in his future. He has soo much talent. Still love this guy.

So did I! It's over 14 points lower than what Shawn scored at NHK. :(

Song didn't do his combo. Couldn't he tack on another jump on his triple lutz since he missed it in the beginning or are there rules against that in the short?

I agree..that was a beautiful triple jump and lutz that song landed.

Why doesn't the announcer mention that Schultheiss was the first Swede to land a quad in competition? He only mentioned that Adrian was the first Swede to win a junior-something event.

I was actually expecting him add something to the 3lut. It was such a good jump he could easily add a double to it. Nice jumps and good-look guy too:)
