Men's Free Skate event - is it really sold out??

Went to ticketmaster and the only available tickets showing up are "resale" tickets and only in the balcony. Is the event really sold out?? Great for the sport if so, but it's been awhile since I've attended a sold out figure skating event in the US. Does anyone know if more tickets are being released at a later time?

I have wondered the same thing. I have a hard time believing the events are as sold out as they look like. It also seems kind of suspect when it looks like there are some sections with no resale tickets anywhere. Granted those could maybe be all-event tickets? But it's out of sync with recent attendance imo.

Hmmmmmm....ticketmaster is handling this???? Seems odd they would be sold out....Last worlds, they didnt even OPEN the top tier there...I had to sneak up there.....I hid in a bathroom stall as they kicked everyone out in the rain to only come back in. When a guard came into the bathroom he said, "Help or patron". I said, "Si" and he left. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: (I could be confusing worlds with Nationals Boston but still......) Nope. I just checked pics for Worlds Ladies free 2016. There were a sprinkle of people in the top nose bleeds. Something is rotten in Denmark.

Sometimes, they do indeed release tickets later....if you are a big promoter of say Japanese skating tours, you get a block of seats and any you dont need you give back.

They just released more tickets today

I'm highly skeptical. I had tickets in mind and was piecing together seats for multiple events. This was in January. Went back 24-36 hrs later and suddenly the entire section (entire end actually) was gone. I found that hard to believe but thought maybe Japanese tour companies after their nationals ended. I then kept checking and very soon found only ridiculous resale tickets at 6-7x what face value was on ticketMaster, which has been the case consistently. Also for free dance (which is equally odd).
