eir opinion so is Iloveaxle. Some of the things he/she is saying do carry some merit. Let us not forget this is a discussion board, we should be allowed to discuss and share our opinions. Even if you disagree that person is still entitled to their thoughts. Just everyone try and be objective.

If Evan does the quad-triple in the short program, he will be a contender for the gold medal at worlds.

He might not need it in the short. Joubert fell out of his in the SP at the Europeons and only landed one in the LP. I'm wondering if Joubert peaked too early this season? It will be interesting to see how it plays out at Worlds.

Once again your comments are offensive. Why am I surprised? To address some of your points: PCS has nothing to do with jumps. The jumps are measured in the TES mark. And I have to agree with those who think that Buttle deserves much higher PCS, particularly when one compares the emptiness (besides jumps) of Lysacek's program to Buttle's FS. I do not argue that Lysacek did enough technically to beat Buttle, here, and you're free to loathe Jeff if you want to. But it is ludicrous to say he drags skating down. Not to mention petty, mean, and without foundation.

Just saw Evan't results. I guess he'll be skating to Carmen for the next two Olympics. Between Evan's Carmen and Joubert's metronome-like music they'll just battle it out, and we'll just chat about whether the quads were ok.

I think Mabee got a hold of himself for this LP and he's doing fine and should be in there for Vancouver.

I'll have to see Jeremy again. He was good at Nats but he didn't overwhelm me.
Maybe I was concentrating on Weir/Lysacek too much.

Very proud of Chris, too!

I am so glad that Chris was able to do a great free skate and move up so much. I'm sad he had a rough short, but, as my beloved grandmother used to say "If ifs and ands were pots and pans, we wouldn't need any tinkers." I just know that this will make him work even harder so that he can have 2 fabulous skates at Worlds!

He needs a skate of 157.44. His personal best is nowhere near that at 107.85. So it's not likely.

I'm not objecting to rewarding relatively high PCS to Jeff. But those marks were truly ridiculous for an axel-less program.

Those other athletes train so hard to get harder jumps, but only lose to such a second-tier axel-less MALE skater. How many male skaters in the world can do 3A consistently? At least 40 to 50, I would say.

If he can't jump, why doesn't he do ice dancing? This is sport, folks. You can't just posture around the ice .

How many skater has the artistic ability, spins, footwork, choreography of Jeff those transitions makes it alot harder to do those jumps trust me!

I understand where people are coming from where Jeff is concerned and his lack of difficult jump content, I really do, and to be honest, being even a Canadian, I always preferred Sandu because he did the quad with a fair degree of consistency. I've only really started to warm up to Buttle since it has become apparent that Sandhu really is done.

Yes, I think after this competition I have finally accepted that Sandhu really is never likely to have that big success that I always hoped he would have. This has just been going on for far too long now and my patience with him has finally run out. I'm sad by it, but maybe I can now relax when watching the men skate again. He always had me so on edge.

Emanuel in 10th. Ugh. So depressing. That boy needs some serious sports psychology. Maybe he should try hypnosis. I think he should skate to Ave Maria and go on auto-pilot-ballet, like he did at the gala. I feel badly for him.
