Men's Long Program

Johnny: Very good skate, but not great. 2fotted quad, no 3-3, 1st 3axel looked really cheated, the loop might also be downgraded, no 3-jump combo, but he fought and went for everything. What an improvement from last season!

Looks like you were right. I was wondering about that first axel. The missing 3rd combo could hurt later. We'll see.

See, I'd usually say that too, but Tomas really performed the program even with the mistakes, so I think it's justified. This is an example of COP working for me - if it was always like this Yukina Ota would get the highest PCS of any ladies' skater.

I guess I understand what you're saying, but at least in performance and execution, the grade should be a bit lower than given. Does Skating Skills is affected if teh skater has falls or something? or is just the way he skates, regardless of errors in the program? I would like to understand more about what they are actually looking in those areas.

I love Tomas dearly, hopefully he will do better next year.

I really wonder how Evan would have done if he was here and skated the short clean and the long clean.

I would love to see Johnny medal here....any medal!! The US needs to come home with at least one medal.

mmm... why is Johnny third in the FS? some errors? I hope it holds!!!!

Go Dai-kun!

gosh, so many skater to support!!!!

Oh my goodness... something is in the air, and it's not good :(

Takahashi: great 1st quad, fell out of the 2nd. good 1st 3axel, fell out of the 2nd

Then he put a double toe on his lutz, which means the jump will not count :( NEVER Deviate from the choreography if you don't know what you're doing

Daisuke Takahashi
4t so clean and high!! Unbeliavable!!
4t fall
3ax lean down on the landing
well he'll get lot of bonus because I think all the upcoming jumps are after the half time
3ax hand down, step out, may count as fall
3f-3t gorgeous
3sal
3l extra turns on landing
3z-2t (this won't count, will it?) He has two quads and two axel and the combo.

oh dear...
he couldn't do more combos

Daisuke Takahashi
Romeo & Juliet (Tchaik)
Black & purple

He'll be above Weir, no doubt...but by how much?
4T, perfect in every way
4T, stumble out *sigh*
3A, fought for the landing but clean
Circular steps, a bit slower than usual?
Combo spin, well-centered
3A, fallout *sigh*
The door is wide open...
3F-3T, great
3S, leaning in air but clean
3R, wild landing
3Z-2T, phantom combo again...why can't these skaters count jumping passes?!
SLSS, great as usual
Final combo spin to close, good

Okay, nevermind. That was probably his worst free all year. Disappointing, but his other elements should help him make up a bit for the jumping errors.

139.71 in the free gives him 220.11 and 2nd overall (!!) and only 4th in the free skate.
