You should've seen him in the KnC; his face basically said "ugh! if only..."
Exactly how I felt. Still, I'm very glad to have been introduced to his skating here. He's excellent and I hope his consistency improves.
I might even be okay with the result if Patrick was so way ahead artistically, but he wasn't. Ryan was much more expressive with the choreography. I don't even think the audience was that happy with the result - the reaction to Patrick's skate was rather subdued. Contrast that to the response Shawn got.

I agree. Badly inflated skate. Even Patrick himself said it's a gift from the judges in interview.
Patrick's 3A technique is as scary as Evan's. I haven't heard any complaint from his fans and commentators.

Ahh, damn it. Poor Ponsero. But I actually agree with Chan's marks, despite his mistakes it was a good, very musical program. I just don't agree with Ponsero getting nearly 20 (!!!) points less PCS than Chan. Both programs were error-marred, both guys have great skating skills, great musicality, great speed...
Bradley's program is very entertaining - but is it just me or are his basic skating skills very mediocre? But I am glad that he won the silver, that should give him some confidence.
Sawyer won the LP and got at least 5 points more TES than everyone else - which is amazing for a guy who has a very very shaky Triple Axel and a wobbly Lutz.
Did I read correctly that Evan only got 70 on the PCS? Did the judges suddenly decide "Let's stop liking that lanky American with special airplane mode?" But at least he still has hope for the final, thanks to 0.30 points and a judging panel that hammered a poor Frenchman on the PCS.

I do think chan was a little overmark but he still deserved 75+ so he would have still end up in first if just barely. I am happy for bryan but his long was jumps and facial expressions. He needs transitions and substatial choreography. His spins needs a lot of work.

after watching Bradley skate, it gave me an idea of pairing him and Caroline Zhang up. They skate slow and he is tall and she is tiny. I think they could win the gold in Vancouver with side by side 3flip/3toe combo. Their skating speed is about the same so it matches up pretty well. What do you think?

Ryan's "choreography" was extremely cheesy and corny in my opinion. I cringed while watching it...
Absolutely not. Their sbs spin could never be in unison.

I also thought Ponsero had very good skating skills, choreography and interesting in betweens so it was weird to see his PCS so low. I would have given Ponsero the highest PCS today.
