I just hope I don't get as anxious as i was last night with Shen and Zhao. When Sandra Bezic gasped audiibly in the American coverage as Shen slid down Zhao's back, I think I momentarily stopped having a pulse.

By the way, has anyone noticed how quiet Scotty and Sandra are this year? Wonder why. I have to say, I enjoy both of them and always have, though I know that both get a lot of criticism. They love skating and skaters, and if Scott gets overly enthusiastic, I think he's earned that right. Sandra as a choreographer has some really insightful things to say about techniques, music choice, and jump sequences--like that comment she made about the layout of S and S's jump that they fell on. She felt that its position in the layout made it automatically chancy. i bet she's right!

Haha! Had I not known the results in advance, I would have had the exact same reaction when Sandra gasped.

I like the more subdued Scotty and Sandra because 4 years ago, I was really irritated at their biased reporting. In my opinion, it's their job to REPORT and EXPLAIN. It is NOT their job to tell us how awful the judges are and how one skater is being robbed etc, which is what they did in Torino. They were WAY over the top in that regard.

If you are on the CTV Olympics website, check the alternate feeds; I'm on the Olympic network, and it's playing solid Figure skating. I'm not sure about TSN.
