Men's Short Program.. Tuesday 16th, 7:15PM EST

Lambiel at times looks really awkward....I think his costume is most of it. His spins are GORGEOUS though. I thought Oda's score should have been higher. Excited to see the last two groups. And who is this "chosen one" people are speaking of - Joubert or Lysacek?

Chan.

My biggest fear of the night is precisely that. If he goes clean I think he may very well be number one after the night is over, regardless what the others do.

Don't start panicking before the little Canuck has even set a foot on the ice! And even if he gets 95, he will be still catchable in the LP. You were talking about Mr. Chantastic, right?

I think I'm going that way this time. Again. Not tired at all. Some more cookies and I'll be fine! Just practice before the real insomnia test on Thursday.

I wish I could too..but it's the third consecutive night with no sleep, and I rather prefere to do the completely awake night tomorrow...yet, some hours sleep are needed...

but I can't stop watching...oh, 2B or not 2B?!?:unsure::think::biggrin:

Oda was done in by his ill-conceived short program: The music is awful, and the choreography can't build on that. At this rate, Oda may actually wind up with a higher LP score than Plushenko and still not win gold, think Pang/Tong vs. Shen/Zhao.

I know the reson they are doing it this way is so they can show the US men skate commercial free

Yes, the very one. I can't help it tonight for some odd reason, am all nerves! True though, he is catchable in LP even if gets 95!

Not a Chan fan but he has one of the best shorts so if he beats Plushenko with a good skate then great for him. I thought Takahashi should be in first anyway.

Too bad Oda's short doesn't match his long.

Ok I don't get the hype. Yes he's good, but he doesn't have a quad and his 3a technique is iffy. Plus Joubert is better looking because we know that does make a difference in scores :laugh: . He is overmarked a lot of the time IMO. He's good but the other contenders are just as good.

Yeah, I think if Chan scores anywhere between one and one hundred, someone somewhere will claim he was overscored. Might as well get that out of the way now. Of course, he might legitimately be overscored, but since a good number of people have already made their minds up, what's the point debating it?

Baboo is next! Thank you, Aussies!

Whoever is playing the music at the Pacific Coliseum, :agree: They're playing "I Gotta Feeling", which is perfect for the mood. Tonite's has been a good nite!
