wow, Johnny's been so consistent this season! and seems like he is tonight as well!

Well, frankly, I've seen better skates from him.

Absolutely ... but, here and in other forums, there seems to have been a bit of anticipation that he would be grossly overscored for a bunch of reasons, and it's somewhat nice to see that it didn't really happen - maybe restoring a bit of confidence in the judging process.

He did get a time deduction, but kind of surprisingly no -GOE on the footwork (though like I said, he covered it pretty well). I still think he should have been around the 84-85 mark though...

I agree, i thought 84 too. To me his performance was not much less thrilling than Dai's. His body moved beautifully! Every beat of the music was emphasized.
