there seems to have been a bit of anticipation that he would be grossly overscored for a bunch of reasons, and it's somewhat nice to see that it didn't really happen - maybe restoring a bit of confidence in the judging process.

Well, that's prob b/c ppl saw how D/D in pairs were scored.
