Men's Short Program.. Tuesday 16th, 7:15PM EST

Whaaaaat? 78-80??? WTF are the judges smoking??? Michal had THE BEST jumps and the program overall was very nice!!!!

Wow. A virtual tie at the top. wowee. and Takahashi!! really lived up to himself. good for him. Evan ... he's so excited right now. Hope he doesn't give it away in the long. Go Evan!!!!

going to be a super final. anybody trying to meove up into the top three are not going to get any help from the top three.

Very very sad about Jeremy  I kind of saw it coming; skating after Lysacek brought down the house.

Indeed; my two least favorite skaters on top.. but they did earn it... What are the chances of everyone? Is the battle for gold and silver only amongst the top three? Are Oda, Lambiel, Chan, Weir fighting for bronze?

Biggest disappointments; Joubert, Verner and Abbott. How dramatic.

Well we got a good final flight!

1) Plushy
2) Man In Black
3) Dice-K
4) Nobu
5) Little Prince
6) Johnny Gaga

Even the penulitimate seems like a young guns show
7) Chosen One
8) Kozuka
9) Czech Buttle (seems like he wins the award for the most robbed)
10) D-Ten
11) Lil Flo
12) KVDP

BTW, how many times have I said I was going to sleep and then cannot resist to watch again?!?
that's time is for real, I still have a couple of hours (it's 6am)...good night!!!

You know, I sincerely hope the LPs don't get more exciting than this. My little ticky ticker can't take that.

Am afraid to even think of the dance...

...

I can't stop laughing. Lordy lord, did some of my favs bomb!

No coasting to the gold for Plushy this time. It should make for an interesting final. Everyone is going to have to bring their A game or at least not mess up as much as the others. I can't wait until Thursday!

Wow Brezina with those jumps! He'll be mixed in the 80s as well probably. Wow!

Unless one of them bombs, looks like we have our podium, but in what order? And then Chan, Weir, Oda, Lambiel and probably Brezina not too far away... will be an awesome LP for sure!

Yes, and I would say Plushy should be most worried. His advantage is supposed to be in short. He should be way ahead. I would give advantage to Lysacek for long. Takahashi's stamina is in question but if he is on, he has much more artistry than Plushy, on par with Lyacek.

Pretty good competition overall. It wouldn't be figure skating without random bombings and I'm glad the Canadians didn't get held up. Canada has been talking up Chan way too much considering his skates this year.

You're still here? Yeah, I noticed you posted you were going to sleep ages ago. 6 am here too. Couple of hours of sleep to catch!

My quick opinion,

So happy for Dai-kun, excellent program, strong jumps and his natural dancing skills, I hope he rockes his FS, which I think is gorgeous.
Also loved Kozuka, so much fun to watch. Johnny rocked the tassel, so sad for the deductions, I wish he had been a bit higher, but he seemd happy, so I'm happy.
Evan, congrats, but again I'm not a fan of his style, but he got control on his 3A, so good for him. Also, so so proud of Javier Fernandez, I see his talent and can only imagine him improving as the years go by, 16th place so we'll get to see him in the FS right? awesome!

So sad for Brian, my heart broke watching his face in the k&C. At least I hope he skates well his free skate, not for medalsm but just for the olympic joy, so he gets a nice ending. And Jeremy, I was hoping he would have the same performance as nationals... I don't know what happened there

So I guess we'll see on thursday!
