Men's Short Program.. Tuesday 16th, 7:15PM EST

but Evan won the SP over Daisuke via the PCS. In fact, Evan beat Takahashi in every component in PCS except Skating Skills, where he's .1 behind Daisuke. Now, not to say Evan is a laggard in skating skills, but Takahashi is in a whole other class. He's one of the few freestyle skaters who are artists with their edges. It's absurd to suggest only .1 separates them in that area. The rest of Daisuke's PCS should be closer to Evan's too, if not outright over.

Oh well, it's not like it really matters. But still, one does like to compare when a direct comparison is available.
I think it does matter, but there's nothing can be done about it. Daisuke skated earlier, so maybe that is why. But I'm sure Evan will get high PSC tomorrow as well.

Wow, Evan got a shity spot, unless you look at it in the mond set that he cane set the bar and not have to reach it

Wow! The King skates last!!!!!!!!! This will be decided right till the end!!! Damn. Too bad for Lysacek....but if he can lay down the gauntlet and not give anything away, that's all he can do. This means he must be squeaky clean though....

Men's figure skating is so dramatic. Much more than ladiiieeeeezzzzzzz.

I'm still so broken for Brian, Tomas, and Jeremy. :(

But why? I don't mean to hurt your feelings. I don't have a favourite here. I just think most skaters skated the way they have been skating, except for Jeremy, who gave the program of the season at the Nationals, Brian ad Tomas have been bombing all year. Brian did exactly same thing at Worlds 2009. Tomas did exactly same thing through his GP season this year? Why is this a surprise? Not something so unexpected that a heart gets broken, except for the hope and dream you might have had. But not really based on their immediate past performances.

ITA. This is a repeat of GPF.

So the field has been narrowed to 7 medal contenders, Chan bringing up the rear of that pack. It's insane to say, but i actually see Evan as the favourite now, or at the vrey least co-favourite!

Because who knows how Plushy is going to handle having to really "bring it" this time? Compelling event!

Edit: If neither Evan nor Daisuke are perfect or very close to it though, then Plushy will pobably run away with it.

Evan's performance was great but i'm sorry evan's eleement were not better then that of oda. he was better then oda in the PCS part.

Based on the start order, congratulations to Evgeni Plushenko... Dick Button 2.0

I hope Evan and/or Dai bring it though... I want things interesting. Make Mullet Man work for it!

:eek::eek::eek:
Oh my goodness Plushenko is last???DO they reaally want to kill seniorita???I ll die before the end of group.

:boohoo:

Sorry, what exactly is the pimp spot?

In American Idol fan terms, the "pimp spot" is the last person to perform. They usually get the best remarks from the judges, which leads to a boost on votes.

In this case, they'll probably give all the points they can give to Plushenko, especially if he skates clean and everyone else falters.

The "death spot" is when its the first person to perform. They won't get all the praises from the judges and most likely to be voted off.

In Evan's case, he's not on a good spot to skate first.
