Spoke to some additional ISU officials this morning. Music deductions can be appealed. The French federation did protest the deduction and the ISU responded. The deduction stands.

Well from the last article I've read, Bianchetti who made the call, implied that Brian should have gotten the deduction at SC and Euros and he (Bianchetti) could not be held responsible that Brian didn't.

About the "O Verona" thing...that may be a problem now, because I was thinking "well yes, but DenSta never got a deduction" but then I realised that was ice dancing which is allowed. Has anyone of the men/ladies/pair used that part? Otherwise Brian might have to check before the FS. Considering how close all of them are, he can't allow himself a 1 point deduction for this.

Oh no, please, he has been using "O Verona" for the second straigh season, he won worlds with it. It just can't be a deduction.
