I thought it might be nice during the Winter Olympics if we had a place to express words we would send to the skaters if we could during these Games.

ILIA

You are a champion with or without an Olympic individual gold medal. You have a one Olympic gold already and you were instrumental in that gold. Nothing can take away how you have added to the sport in both skill and in sportsmanship. Hold your head up high and enjoy the rest of the games. Champions don't just win they survive and thrive through it all.

MADISON AND EVAN

Congratulations you WON silver individually and gold as a team. Again, you were monumental in getting that gold. Your consistent excellence throughout the years does not go unnoticed. A gold medal individually does not define you. Your programs were masterpieces. You have adoring fans and gold medal would not change that. You should be proud that you were part of an ice dance event of such talent and excellence not seen. All three of the podium teams were worthy gold medallists.

AMBER

Don't cry. You are three time American champion and still in contention. You are an Olympian and nothing can take away from that. It is time to show your character and your spirit. You got it! And medal or no medal you are part of an amazing American skating team.

MADDIE SCHIZAS

Nothing can take away you are an Olympian. You fought the good fight. Sometimes things just don't go your way but the true measure of a person is how they deal with adversity and come back from mistakes and not live in self doubt. One can only imagine how you feel not making the freeskate. But you should be proud you are the Olympics. Skated strongly in the team event and represented Canada with dignity.

MIKHAIL

All hail the Olympic champ. It may not have been pretty or anticipated but you stood up when it counted and when others faltered. You are the champion! Bravo!

DEANNA AND MAX

You are Olympians. It wasn't easy but you did it. This wasn't about age; this was about two skaters getting to go to the Olympics to represent their country. To overcome such adversity which seemed to continue (here's hoping Deanna is recovering fromt he facial injury/broken nose) showed your true character. You both are equal partners supporting one another through tragedy and triumph. We wanted a fairytale ending but it didn't happen. You still are champions because of your spirit.

PIPER AND PAUL

You did it1 You didn't just win bronze! You owned it! You were part of an incredibly tight and highly skilled competition where any of the top three were worthy champions. We all know that the judges have not always warmed to you and were harsh often. You have over come lo sing loved ones and Piper's cancer fight. You never used any of it as a crutch or an excuse. You have show genuine kindness, spirt and competitive fight. Congratulations!

SHUN

No more crying. You are an Olympic bronze medallists. It was heartbreaking to see you so emotionally invested in the t eam e vent. Japan and you WON the silver medal. Bravo!
