Mikhail Kolyada

Thanks, that's awesome!

I thought he got better at getting the timing to open up his legs on quad but maybe he lacked height this time? I'm not that worried about 3Lz, I'm sure he can easily fix that problem. But the good news is that he got all level 4s again, I think his step sequence is looking better and better! Good luck for FS Mika :hap10:

Last one looks like identical to the first one, it seems to be he just didn't manage to keep balance.
For the Lz I think it was just too perfect during the all the season, it must be happen once, let's hope it would be just once.

Oh Mika! When we said there will be a battle between two Michaels we didn't mean you two will be competing in who has more falls. So far - a draw anyway

Some people said that their was the awful ice... Maybe it is one of the reasons of not the best skating. So, it's hard to keep fit during whole season. Hope Misha will have the best fit on the World Championship and will cope with his quad.
I'm happy that FS was without dedactions but I don't understand why he has level 2 for one of his spins.

Yeah, the quality of ice could have played a role... I also think the rink was much smaller and there was only 25 min. practice per day to get things adjusted to the rink. Must have been difficult to fit to the environment but he did pretty well in FS. :yay: His 3Lz+2T+2Lo is beautiful! I much prefer this combination to +2T+2T.

As for the spin, I think he lacked enough rotations for both of the two positions he did, less than 8 for the canon ball and less than 2 for the reserved pancake. I'm rather happy that he's getting consistent at hitting the change of edge for his camel spin. He used to travel a lot after the jumping change of foot but he really fix that problem as well.

It was 4T, am I right? It was wonderful, hope he'll do it in his programmes... So sad he hadn't done it in Vienna

Well, for his 3T he got only 0.35 less than Michal for his underrotated quad. I think Mika was not in his best form, maybe he simply was tired it was his 10th competition this season after all. Maybe the decision to compete here wasn't a wise one, I don't know.

On the positive side:
1. Mika won which is always nice
2. He beat Michal second time this season
3. His PCS in the long higher than Michal's which means the judges begin to recognise the quality of his skating
4. He proved again that after the disappointing short he can pull things together in the long

So there are lots of positives and now hopefully the announcement of the world team follow soon. Fingers crossed.

Just believe me, he'll be in the world team. There is nobody to be there except Misha and Maxim. And everybody has already said that Anna and Misha won't be changed because of their mistakes, they deserved to go there.

I think so too! But it is always nice to see it in black and white you know. And thanks for all the info before

There's a new instagram account made by a fan:
https://www.instagram.com/mikhail_kolyada_news/

I'll add it to OP. Is this what you guys made, klimochka and Yulia? (I noticed it because it liked my fan art :yay:)

I just read the on site report posted together with the video on VK and how sweet that they gave a box of chocolate as a prize at Hellmut!

You are absolutely right! :) This is our page. We decided to try to create it to post news and sometimes arts for Misha's fans and buffs from different countries, because VK, unfortunately, mostly a Russian site. If this project will be successful, we'll continue to do it, if it's not, will delete... Welcome, we'll happy to see all of you there!

Speaking about chocolate, it would be fanny if they gave him a chocolate medal :D

Cool! :cool2: Thank you for liking my work then! I'm pretty sure you'll find plenty of followers, there're tons of Russian figure skaters fan account on instagram. I've tweeted your link on twitter so hopefully there'll be some Japanese fans as well.

Chocolate medal sounds awesome... they definitely should do that at TCC.

Finally, it's official. He's going to Boston! :hap57:

His smile in that picture is too adorable!

ETA: I wonder when he'll head to US... does anyone have an idea?
IIRC, it's his first competition outside Europe. He needs to prepare well to get along with the jet lag, environmental change etc. Hope he deals with this well...!
