I hope he's not thinking about that whole keeping the spots thing, to be honest. IMO, the main pressure of keeping the spots is on Maxim as Russian national Champion and European medalist, and maybe Mika can just stick to the 'new kid on the blog' mojo.
Also, keeping those 2 spots really shouldn't be that hard... as long as Mika makes the LP and Maxim is at least 12th, they're fine. Of course there is no guarantee, but I hope neither of them are too nervous about that.

I've just read a eyewitness account of the practice session of the Russians: Mika and Maxim had about 1.5h and all that time they were doing jumps non-stop. Both were skating really fast. No further details alas but I thought I'll share with you even that little as we all are dying for news I am sure!

Thank you for the information! That is interesting that Mikhail and Maksim now training with each other. As for as I know Russian girls still training at their home rinks. It looks like Russian Fed wants sparring them. May be that is good, they can compete at practices and they have something to learn from each other, it could be a very interesting experience. So let's see will it help them or not at Worlds.
