Mikhail Kolyada

It was posted in his official group in vk.com that he won't take part in this event:( No explanations, however.

It is a bit sudden. Hope Mika is alright. It said on VK that withdrawal is not due to health. Hopefully more news to follow

According to a phone call made to Chebotareva, Misha's withdrawal had to do with an unexpected summons to Novogorsk for the weekend to change/improve something in his programs, of which he only learned on Friday.

Thanks! It looks like the version of the abduction by aliens was closest to the truth. Still hope he will stay fit and we will enjoy his perfomance soon. Good luck, Mika!

Many thanks for the info! Relief :hap93:
It proves that the fed takes Mika very seriously this season (as they should), at the same time I am not sure about all these last minute changes to the programs - if these are improvements - well, great, but could be other round too.

We were on that competition and we saw Misha there with his friends. He was watching programmes during breakes between his practice. Everything is okey with his health ;)

Can you give some more information about phone call? I had just missed it... There did you find it? :)

Curious what programs Mika will be skating on Sunday - the show in Luzniki, Moscow - last season's do you think?

I would wish him to skate something new. I don't mind to see Nightingale tango or Fever again, but he skated them so many times last year and now the new season is just beginning, I wish he would show something new, that we could feel that spirit of the new season. Maybe shortened versions of his new programms, or some special exhibition programm.

yep I quite like this band (& the prev band of the lead singer) & generally Scorpions & Aerosmith-like music (that is considered outdated now:laugh:)

I'm really happy they're invited to this show!

& Misha can pull it off!

Misha showed to wonderful programmes.
https://youtube.com/watch?v=xHdQDwx6yzM this is the first one and the second I will publish a little bit later. The second programme is on the classical music, piano concerto. I really like it!
Misha is in a good shape! Seems that he and Yulia Lipnitskaya are only two persons who didn't do any mistakes.

hmm really???
some onlooker said he tried to do a quad but popped?

Many thanks everyone for the links - though with the lights flashing hard to see the actual skating :)but Mika seemed to be in his element! I understand that the programs they all skated were choreographed by the show so these could not be possibly be his new programs?
As oversized costumes were it still was lovely to see him in something different from the last season. Oh the patience to wait for the new programs - one week to go...
