I like it! If he can nail it he can score decently, 4S is the biggest worry though. I still think he should do 3A or 3lz as a first jump to settle the nerves.
Oh, so he was right when he said he would use the CoR layout.
Did he mean three quads over the short and long programs?
(I know quads take a lot of energy, but.....why not add a solo 4T? He could get out of doing the cursed loop)

I'm still wondering about the state of his 3lzEu3S. Last time he did one was at Worlds. Hopefully he can have a good compeittion, tho.

Yeah, a good point - he could have meant 3 quads in total, haven't thought of that
I always loved that combo and missed it all the season. I confess I absolutely hate Mika's 2T - kinda sloppy looking even when done okay
That was one of his more solid elements last season, so I'm glad he's bringing it back.
Nobody from Team Russia showed up to the official practices today, which makes sense considering the proximity. I wonder how late they will show up tomorrow, if at all.

Well the draw for ladies SP is tomorrow at 4pm (men's not till Wednesday afternoon) so I guess they must be there by then

It looks like Mika arrived a day later than Valentina & Stanislava, and their off-ice coach is there too - good! He didn't look too confident during the morning practice -4T (shaky) 2T but then a gorgeous 3A. A short haircut!

Judging by the ladies draw it is not by 3 skaters but 6 so there is a chance he could skate earlier in the group as he loves - fingers crossed!

Misha fought so well today. I'm proud, crying and I don't even care about the FS at the moment. He did a beautiful program, and he seemed so satisfied, which is the most important thing.

I almost cried. I don't think I've ever seen him look so proud of himself in the K&C, or at least not in a very long time. It was subtle, but it was there.
Yes, he is his talisman!
