After winning the 2024 World Junior title and adding silver medals at Junior Worlds in 2025 and 2026, Minkyu Seo is moving up to the senior ranks for the 2026-27 season.

He will make his Grand Prix debut at Grand Prix de France and Cup of China. He is also working toward adding a quadruple toe loop while continuing to recover from a lingering ankle injury.

In a recent interview with Golden Skate, Seo said that competing against stronger and more experienced skaters will help him grow both as an athlete and as a person.

I haven't seen a lot of Minkyu Seo, so I can't talk intelligently about specifics regarding his strengths and weaknesses. Whenever I have seen his performances, I have been impressed and captivated. He's not a flashy skater nor overly heralded, just extremely talented and highly competitive. Hopefully, Minkyu will continue to amaze and delight us for many years to come.
