Mone Chiba is first after the Short Program at the Gdansk Junior Grand Prix, with 70+. She was beautiful and skated beautifully. I enjoyed particularly her first landing into a spiral, but as a whole her skating looks more and more mastered and polished. I hope she skates her Free just as well. This year she's skating to Schindler's List.

She was fantastic. She may be my favourite Junior. The only thing that bothered me was she was scored less than a point in PCS in comparison to Mao Shimada. Also, I’m worried about her as she may not be that consistent next time around. I want a camp other then Hamada, to represent Japan at Junior Grand Prix Finals for Japan.

Here's Mone Chiba's Short program in Egna:

And here's her Free Skate:

I'm so sorry she didn't qualify for Grand Prix Final! It was really short. Just as her time to prepare fore Egna...

Congratulations to Mone Chiba for her Silver Medal at All-Japan Junior Championships!
She's first alternate for Junior Grand Prix Final (I keep thinking that, if her Federation had, according to her 2021 National Junior Bronze, given her two Junior Grand Prix assignments from the beginning, or at least an early spot, instead of giving her one late spot and assigning her to another without preparation time, she may have been among the Top 6).
In about a month, she should participate in the All-Japan Senior Championships. I wish her the best success.
Here is her Free Skate at Nationals:

Congratulations Mone on winning the bronze medal at 4CC, in her first senior season!

I'm glad she's able to put the disappointment of the JGP and Nationals behind. She's very exciting to watch. I wonder if 4CC is her last competition this season though?

She’s assigned to Coupe du Printemps (in March)! 4CC was her last “big” competition though.

I am so happy Mone won a medal here, with two beautiful performances.
