New Survivor Show

Sean, what was the jury twist???

One thing I thought was strange was the tribe understood why Candice left the other tribe but not Jonathan.

Dee

I find the dynamics very interesting at the moment. Beware, Nate, you may be the next to leave your tribe. A lot depends on what Parvati & Adam decide to do. Do they stick with the Caucasian 4 or with their more recent tribal members? If that's the case then Jonathan could get the boot next. Also, let's not forget the current makeup of the tribe...4 women, 3 men. All this is supposing there is no merge & hopefully, there won't be. I want Aitu to give us the winner. Any of the 4 from that tribe deserve to win.

I was wondering about that too. wouldn't that be interesting.
And agree about Aitu and Nate, I just don't like him as much anymore.

If I were Brad and got voted out under that set of circumstances, I would be so LIVID that I wouldn't even be able to give my "exit interview". I really really really want them to dump Jonathan and have from day one; he is way too pushy and obnoxious and I'll bet Candice is wishing she'd waited just one more second before stepping off the mat so Jonathan wouldn't have had time to; I'm pretty sure that part of the reason she mutinied was to get rid of HIM.

What I think would have been great would have been a "fake mutiny" (kind of like the "fake merge" in Thailand); after Candice and Jonathan stepped off the mat, Jeff could say, "OK, just checking. You're not actually going to the other tribe at all, this was just a loyalty test." Now THAT would have led to some REAL acrimony.....

I watched the Survivor Live episode on the internet. Brad said he wanted to play the game with integrity. That's why he voted to out Jenny because of how unneccessarily bitchy to Christina at tribal council (which we didnt' see). He also said that he thought about jumping over too, but decided it would be a bad decision as far as how people perceive you. He also said that he felt that if he had stayed through the merge that he would have gone back to his alliance with Yul and Becky.

What I hope is that all the non-white members get together and vote off Candice and Jonathon. They don't deserve to play with that lousy decision to change teams. There was no point. No one's really gonna trust you. Brad felt that Jonathon got the worst of it because he's annoying and because Adam smoothed things over for Candice.

BTW, the immunity challenge took 2 1/2 hours....

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Candice tell lies about Jonathan to Adam? If anyone, I hope she's gone and soon.

Dee

Candice told Jonathan she is tight, she told everyone else she is not with him. Lies I am taking with a grain of salt in Survivor - but I don't know specifically what you might be referring to DEE. It is going to happen with the winners at the least. Some don't but they don't last.

Brad should understand his attitude and unwillingness to see were he was MORE vital was what got him ousted. That seems fair to me. They stuck to the original plan and I think that was the right thing to do. Although at this point I do not want anyone to win from that tribe.

I really like the idea of no merge until there are no tribes to keep. I hope it goes that way.

What do you think is in the bottle next week. What is the info in there????

I think Candice telling Adam that Jonathan was out to get him was a ploy to get rid of Jonanthan, she is tricky. I hope she doesn't win but I know she could. I think Jenny is seeing that Candice is setting out to control Adam......get rid of her.

Sean, about the bottle, whatever is in it doesn't seem like a bad thing, at least from Ozzy's reaction.

That's right. I remember that now.

I bet the bottle has something good too. I wonder if it is going to tell someone what the next few challenges are going to be. Or info from a member cast off.? Whatever it is I bet it is a good thing too.:agree:

I think this episode rocked, and I hope that with the remaining four of Aitu, we're seeing the final four of this game (somehow). I was kind of hoping that the mutiny would have been a psych-out or twist as well somehow....like, ok, you two who just came to the Raro tribe, you pick the two new Aitu members....something like that. But this is good, this is cool.

Too late. It's four to three.

I should have qualified with 'assuming that there's a merge soon.' If the merge is this coming Thursday, then it would be 7 non white vs 4 white. Even if the merge doesn't happen til the following week, it could potentially be 6 vs 4, assuming that the white alliance holds true.

BTW, is Survivor airing on Thanksgiving evening?

So, they got rid of Rebecca, and then Jenny. Imagine that.

Look around you, Nate. Do you get it yet?

Nate will probably "get it" when he sees his name on the 3rd ballot next week...He's not the sharpest tool in the shed.

However, if there is a merge next week, I could see Nate maybe throwing in with Aitu if someone spells out for him how much he was left out of the loop.

I have to think with how much Nate is coming across like he is the "big man on campus" he should get ousted. I think it is one of those complexes where you feel out of control so you start assuming a leadership role whether accepted or not. He seemed so likable at first, now he seems like a cocky control freak. To me it would make the most sense to get rid of Nate and Adam now, particularly Adam before they have another "Amber and Rob" on their hands. Funny how the mutiny is working out for the 2, well in Jonathan's case it is working out for the whole tribe.

The whole premiss of the note in the bottle was really a nice twist, And I think Candice is a keeper to ensure she will always go to Castaway instead of someone else. If Aitu is on their toes with strategy It would be best to send Nate to castaway next if the opportunity presents it's self. Throw a wrench in there. The thing to do then would be the 3 against 1 and oust Adam, but Candice seems to have Parvanti in her pocket so that might not go down.
????? It is going to be interesting. Particularly if Aitu losses an immunity challenge.

That's because it wasn't really a mutiny. It was Candice and Jonathan getting back to the white tribe after having been exiled briefly to the non-white tribe.

Isn't it funny how all of a sudden it is Adam, Pavarti, Jonathan and Candice voting as one, with Nate the odd man out (Nate and Jenny voted to kick off Jonathan, everyone else voted to kick off Jenny.)

Poor Yul. He lost two of his homeys, Jenny and Brad, in two days. He definitely has a tougher game ahead of him after the merge.

One thing, though. Raro will never win a challenge if it has anything to do with swimming or with studying clues.

I have hated this race concept from day one. All of my fears are coming true, the whites against the non-whites. Tell me again what it is we are supposed to be learning from this "social experiment?"

How much that has to do with race is really speculation, particularly if you look at how well Aitu is doing. I don't doubt it as much as I do believe it is a issue. I don't think it mattered at all to Pav from the Raro. And Jonathan - for whatever reason - felt Candice was his only hope. She has been playing him, and if he knew how she really felt, he would have stayed - and still there was Ozzy whether race was a factor for Jonathan or not. He just tagged along for his best bet.

Raro may never win anything from this point on.

If there is a "lessen" at this point in the game about race, I think looking at Aitu's sucseess and the failures of Raro is a good place to start. People might still be looking at race as being a factor, but the result is not a good one.

I think Yul, Becky, Sandra and Ozzy have all put the "race" issue behind them and are succeeding likely do to said mindset. If you look at the success of a non-racal environment opposed to the "possibly" (yet obviously - just trying to give the benefit of doubt) racially motivated, the message is a good one. At this point in the game anyway.
Put the racal motivation behind you and you are likely to succeed, don't and you will not.
YET, that is still speculation because - of corse we will see what happens when it come time for Aitu to vote (if ever) to see which way Becky and Yul go.??

I am not bothered by it anymore other then it does appear to be an issue, but while it is an issue it is still reacting with failure. Whitie stick together and still can't win - I think that is a good message.

I want to see a swim match between Pavarti and Ozzy.

And I know why Jeff Keeps saying Poverty to Pavarti's name - spell check.

Prediction for the final 4???

Is it to early? I felt like waiting until the jury started because first impressions are always misleading (to me anyway) when people are putting on a face for TV cameras. And the Jurry came early this time so...
It is close enough for a final 4 Prediction form me...Anyone else???

Ozzy, Becky, Pavarti and Yul.

Pavarti and Candince were the swing, but I think that the Adam + Candi thing will be a down fall this time. Pav is acutely playing down what I thought she would try to play up. Good for her, so far. But maybe Nate wouldn't take the bait.
