No Obertas/Slavnov at Worlds?!

I just read the article on here about the Russian world championship team. I was surprised not to see Obertas and Slavnov on the list. Did they skate badly at Russian Nationals or Europeans? I didn't hear much about either of those competitions or watch them.

Does Moskvina still coach them? She may have suggested that they get more public exposure before tackling the big ones. It would be an expense to send them to Tokyo to skate with the Chinese in a competition that is 99 per cent certain to be 2 Chinese teams, at least on the Podium.

No. Moskivina has abandoned them after Olys. K&S are Moskivina's new students.

There was a report in one of the Grand Prix where Moskvina said they needed to work, not harder, just work. Can't blame her for leaving them.
