And good for Zhang & Wang in 3rd--much better than their last outing.

So sad for Chase & Speroff and Lawrence & Sweigert -- 3 deductions each

Carman and Knierim are not age eligible next year, nor are Chase/Speroff or Castelli/ Schnapir. Too bad Chase and Speroff had such a poor skate in the Short, last weekend they skated a clean program with throw triple loop.

Nor Aaron/Cohen (she turned 18 before July 1st of this year). I received hearsay info that Carman/Knierim skated clean in the SP earlier today, unlike in their SP in Mexico City a few weeks ago.

Yes, at the Pikes Peak Classic in Colorado Springs they scored 47.49 in the SP this past Saturday. Joesitz, the pairs competition is not over yet -- let's wait and see how the free skate turns out!

Yes, let's keep our fingers crossed that both American teams can skate strong free skate programs. It is really too bad that both of these teams have only the one year on the JGP, as I think the experience of having a JGP from last year has really helped Castelli/Schnapir. Not too mention this year is an extreme in the amount of talented Pair teams that stayed back on the JGP.

These are not "normal" results for Krasilnikova / Bezmaternikh and Sergejeva / Glebov.

These are not "normal" results for Krasilnikova / Bezmaternikh and Sergejeva / Glebov.

I assume they were ill or injured?

Krasilnikova and Bezmaternikh had two falls, popped an attempted triple salchow, had low levels in their non jump elements and messed up one of their best elements, their lift. They're not consistent, like any other junior pair, but this is a particularly bad event for them.

Sergejeva/Glebov had mistakes on every jumping pass (including a fall), doubled both their throws, had low levels, and got no credit for their pair spin in the SP. What a shame, I really enjoy this team.
