So the starting order for the Short Program is up now... .. The good news is NOT a total random order, they are definetly using the World Standings draw that they use at Worlds , Euros and 4CC .. Bottom half drawn in the first 3 groups and top half in the later 3 groups.. The bad news is , because of this ShenZhao are skating first  Well The golden standard will be set from the get go

I love all the 5 top teams, I want them all to be on the podium:cry:

OMG!!! For the first time I'llbe able to see the Olympics live because my cable company finally got nbc... I'm so happy I'll get to see shen and zhao! I have several days off from work because of the carnival, so I'll be able to watch the Olympic events this week, so great.

Back on topic, I'm excited that Shen and zhao are skating first, a bit nervous because I want them to do well, but from the reports they seem to feel happy and ready. Hope we get to see a great competition!

Kinda bummed that I'm working during the SP but thank goodness it's dead tomorrow at where I work and I can watch it from my boss' office. All I care about is S/Z and the final 2 flights.

tomorrow is my first day of volunteering with the Iditarod @ their race headquarters giftshop so I'm going to miss the first half. oh well.

I don't think we get to find out who the judges are until they make the introduction announcement tomorrow at the event.

Really? Weren't the judges for each country already decided? Someone earlier posted that the America olympic judge for pairs was Taffy holiday. How would they know that?

no idea, but I'm going by what the ISU has on their website and all they have are the tech callers/specialists.. nothign about the judges. so I'm assuming that won't be officially announced until the event.

does anybody know if there's a more precise time schedule?
(not only when it begins and order, but also the pdf for each pair descending on ice time...)
I really can't stay awake the whole night!

yes, the link on vancouver2010.com will very likely be updated live (at least, it was so for all the other competition). I think that's the reason why they won't update on isuresults: vanoc is the official site, with the right of being the first to update...

That looks indeed quite interesting is it gonna be updated after each performance?? because the ISU page says it will only be updated after the end of the event

Oh, that would be dissapointing. I am watching biathlon now. The olympic result page updates after each man's shoot and after their finishes. So let's hope ...

Required Elements reports at 2:52 pm ET Sunday:

"for those who can't watch the Universal sports show, some practice updates: Apparently Shen and Zhao were not there...(?) "

Anyone have more information on this?

Would love to see all the skating but the time difference makes it too hard so pairs i will skip. Perhaps S/Z are resting rather than doing an early morning pratice? Hope they are fine. My favourites in this event.

I'm starting to get flutters. It's actually finally the day! i hope I don't eat all the chocolate in the house before the program starts.

Me too, Olympia! How can THEY maintain their composure on a day like this? They've been so open about their single goal - nothing but gold for them. May the skate gods reward them for everything they've done for the sport! (Note to mods: we need a pleading icon and a praying hands icon!)

I have to remind myself they've done it all before - if anyone can handle this pressure they can.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY TO XUE AND HONGBO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You guys are lucky. I don't get NBC. =(

Time to find an Olympics stream that networks will probably find and shut down!
