Pairs Short Program

Dube always falls on that first side by side 3sal....I can't understand why their coach doesn't change it up??????

I think that previous competitions results factor a lot in the judges heads. They ranked Kavaguti / Smirnov way ahead of Mukhortova / Trankov long ago, and that is how it is going to stay unless there are big mistakes.

Here are the 16 qualified teams for the LP ranked by TES and PCS .

Another good evening of Pairs short programmes, hopefully the long programme will be just as good. Very surprised with the placements of the Germans, totally overmarked and an undeserved placement. I wonder if D/D were in Canada what would they have scored? Should they be ahead of the 2nd Amercians and the French? I don't think so.

I would have placed it as follows

1st - M/T
2nd - P/T
3rd - K/S (bit behind top two)
4th - Z/Z (feel there score is about right)
5th - S/S (2/3 points lower)

Enjoyed both US couples, the French, 3 Russians, P/T, the swiss.
