Are there any updates about them?

what exactly happended there? are they injured? i know they missed the grand prix not sure why. I heard that they were going to retire after worlds, but are they even going to worlds? I have heard nothing of this team all season. They are the defending world champions and lile Lambiel seem to have dissipeard from the sport.

Qing Pang had a kidney infection so that is why they missed the Grand Prix this season.

They are doing fine right now, they won the Chinese Nationals and if all goes well they will probably be at Four Continents and at the Worlds defending there title.

Pang had a serious illness, which was why they missed their GP events. I am not sure what their plans are for the rest of the season. As for their retiring, they are too young for that--they each just turned 27. Shen and Zhao are 28 and 33 and are still skating---and looking forward to 2010.

Anyway, Chinese athletes retired when the Chinese federation tells them they can, and not before.
