Patches on skating boots

Does anyone know if it's possible to apply patches on skating boots? I know that companies that make boots can do it for you:

Long story short, I want to put a patch on my Klingbeils.

I've never done it, but I am sure it can be done (theoretically). Maybe with some epoxy?
