This short film was prepared by the Philadelphia PBS station on the journey of an adult skater, and I thought it was well done and engaging. Not only following the axel journey, but the joy that Anya finds in competing in adult skating.

And her coach's words of wisdom: Children have less fear of falling, their backsides are closer to the ice. :)

 
What a great video. I wish they would play stuff like this on the national news nightly. We need the advertising lol
And something for ballet etc too! Stop pushing the dumb zumba and crossfit classes all the time as the only thing adults are allowed to do!

while ballet is also helpful, do not shame Zumba, it is most definitely one of the best off ice workouts and taking it for granted is hurting your own progress. There are tons of ballet classes specifically for adults, there are barre classes, and pilates, and just regular workouts.
