Arrgh, I keep forgetting this thread exists. Just wanted to post the following in the Plushy fanfest but it actually fits much better here. Report from Junior test skates in Novogorsk published on fsrussia.ru (with more photos).

This year we did not go anywhere, the training camp was held at the ice rink of my school "Angels Plushenko" in "Gorki-10". A lot of work was done in terms of general physical training - crosses, OFP, worked a lot on jumping on the floor, did special exercises on the "spinner" according to the technology of Alexei Nikolayevich Mishin, stretching, dancing... We have a special artificial slide, sand for OFP classes, all the conditions. There is enough ice, we skated a lot, practiced rotations, elements, glided...

Four of our athletes were at the test rides: Kirill Sarnovsky, Veronika Zhilina, Nastya Zinina and Sonya Muravyova. If we talk about programs, we changed both of Kirill's programs. New was directed by Leonid Sviridenko. We gave him that opportunity, and I think he did well, with dignity. Kiryusha himself chose the music. I did not interfere, because I adhere to the point of view that when athletes themselves offer music, images that they feel, then we need to start from this and see whether it will fit or not. Therefore, I gave complete freedom to the guys, Lena Sviridenko. He's a good skater and turned out to be a good director, you might say, good. I'm satisfied.

Kirill's free program is set to music from the series "Game of Thrones". Short – The Beatles " Come Together". Kirill trains quadruple jumps – salchov and rittberger. We didn't put them in at the box office because they're raw so far. We continue to work. Everything is going well. Of course, the programs will be finalized with Dmitry Sergeyevich Mikhailov, our specialists, to hone, but today this is still enough. We listened to all the feedback and comments of the judges and specialists at the box office. We know what to work on. Now we come and continue.

Girls. Veronika Zhilina also has two new programs. Short "Joker", where she portrays a mischievous girl, a bully. We chose this image for a short program in contrast to the arbitrary one in order to diversify styles and images. One is bold, dynamic, danceable, the second is lyrical. The music of the free program is "Love Story". We picked it up together with our headquarters – Lyudmila Nikolaevna Alferova, Masha Stavitskaya.

The short program was set by Seryozha Komolov, but we will still finalize it, this is a common practice. And overall, a good program. Last season, Nika worked with other specialists, this year, since the end of the season, she is fully engaged with me, with her mother Lyudmila Nikolaevna and Masha Stavitskaya.

I invited Masha to my team, because we skated in the same group, I know Masha since childhood, when she was a baby. We have a single technique of Alexey Nikolayevich Mishin. It's very important to me. In addition, Masha from single skating moved to dancing, skated long enough in dancing, has a good command of skating and for me it is valuable, because I have two groups, more than 20 athletes train. I pay more attention to technology, and Dima, the girls are working on sliding, working out programs.

With Veronica, I'm sure we're on the right path. She has a difficult free program - triple axel, three quadruple jumps - salchov, two toeloops, the third quadruple in the second half of the program. We continue to work on other quads. I really like this girl. She's hardworking, she's working. Good job.

Sonya Muravyova. We left the short program "Ne Me Quitte Pas". In my opinion, it is not necessary to change it. Sonia feels the program very much, really lives this image. The girl noticeably increased. For the first time here, in Novogorsk, jumped quadruple salchov. The other day Sonia had a birthday, turned 15 years old, and when we went to the rentals, I told her: "You will make one hundred percent quadruple salchov in Novogorsk." And she really did, she did.
The free program of Sonia was staged by Dmitry Mikhailov - music from the film "The Great Gatsby". The program is good. Well done. Sonia is a great worker. In general, I want to say that all our children "plow", understand where they came, why. I'm pleased that everyone is working.

Nastya Zinina. Passed to us from coach Svetlana Panova. We work together for a short time, several months, but literally in a month we learned a quadruple toeloop, and I also liked this girl in terms of work. She knows how to hear, listens - this is an important point, plows, plows for wear, even sometimes she has to stop a little. Elegant figure skater, beauty, with long lines.

I found the music for the short program "For Smyrni" by the Greek composer Stamatis Spanoudakis first for myself – for a demonstration number in the show. I liked this composition so much that I immediately sunk into my soul. And I said to the athletes: "Whoever will skate well, I will give this music to him." Nastya Zinina just began to skate well, and received a "gift". Nastya has an interesting image in this program: she is a bird who dreams of flying, soaring, but she has a problem with the wing. It torments her. And this moment can be great to beat with modern choreography, and we will finish it, we will highlight it more. At the end of the program, the bird gets rid of the disease, begins to fly... Beautiful story. For Nastya, this is a new image, let's say, a large-scale layer. And it takes time for everything to work out.

As for the arbitrary, it is "Aranjuez" in female vocal performance. Sergey Komolov put the program, but then we worked it all together. The theme of the program is Spain, and the program will be, should be bright. But now it's the beginning of the season. Everybody needs to get out of the world.

Regarding the content, Nastya owns a quadruple toeloop. In the season we plan to jump two quads. We prepare a triple axel, a quadruple salchov. Sonia Muravyova also has a quadruple toeloop and a triple axel. So let's move forward.
